MaDe to Order GARDEN Trug Baskets & OTHER Harvest Helpmates

We source our own Maine hard woods ~ red oak & rock maple ~ to craft our built-to-work, meant-to-last garden trugs & gardening stools.

Based on the traditional English Sussex Garden Trug but crafted with a Yankee twist, to us the Fernwood Cottage Trug Basket is a perfect marriage of practical & beautiful.  We hope you agree.

We finish our garden & farm wares with linseed oil.  We feel it provides the best finish option for food safety & durability while allowing a lovely, warm patina of the wood to occur.  You may maintain your wooden-ware with any food-safe wood conditioner (for example, "cutting-board butter"), allowing you to prolong the working life of your Fernwood Cottage~ware.

**Reminder, these are "yet to be created" products.

Just What IS a "Trug" Basket?

Find out

We love seeing our cottagewares being put to work, & looking great while doing it! Just see how much Jane can carry shopping at the Wayne Farmers' Market with a Fernwood Cottage Trug Basket.

Maine Winters don't allow for Trug crafting. Order yours for Spring '26!

Winter is great for cooking!

The cold weather in Maine is perfect for baking.

Our Kitchen Tools stand up to daily use, but look beautiful doing it.

PLEASE NOTE:  It is still too cold for steam-bending, therefore, we stop Trug making until Spring.  You will be able to put yourself on the Trug Pre-Order list, however, & we will fill your order first thing once we can get back outside!  Thanks for your patronage.
