We would love to offer all our cottagewares to anyone interested, but shipping today can be just too costly! These are items that we make here at Fernwood Cottage that are only available for local pick up. You can find some at our vendor-partners (see individual listings), or can contact us to arrange for picking one up.
When you contact us, we will let you know:
- either we have the product already in stock, or
- you can find them at one of our retail partners, or
- that you are "pre-ordering". We'll discuss payment arrangement & production time via email.

Our most popular for the pragmatic gardener. can handle most any job & is closest to the "traditional" Sussex Trug. Red Oak handle, rim, & feet with copper nails. Strakes (inside ship~lapped pieces that form the basket) are either red oak or rock maple, which are secured to the feet with brass washer-head screws for added strength. This is for serious harvest hauling or for those gardening long stemmed flowers. You'll be amazed at how something so light can feel so sturdy. Red Oak handle, rim, & feet with copper nails.
